From the huge list of my goals, it was very tough to select anyone to begin with so I sorted them out in long term and short term goals and selected the one that could be achieved with in 2 months. It is an important goal and requires my sudden attention.

Like any other professional person I also want to broaden the horizon of my professional growth and get into a Corporate Sector. It is a dream of everybody but hard to achieve. I first divided the goal into smaller tasks that I could achieve. One of them was to make a Resume. It is the most fundamental and crucial step. I want to get into the Corporates Sector because I have being the fish have learnt to swim in the sea, now I wish to test myself, get out of the comfort zone to fight the huge tides of the oceans. I have spent a year in a start up looking at different domains to find my niche and increasing my exposure. Now it’s time to get a taste of corporate as those are the real companies that run the world. This will not only grow me professionally but will also increase my industrial knowledge.

Coming back towards my resume, I had to face several difficulties to overcome to reach the final draft. I began making an excel of all my event, achievements, workshops from the start of my university so that I don’t skip anything. This came very handy. I recommend everyone to do so. I started making my resume on MS. Word but I was not satisfied, after downloading tons and tons of templates I still couldn’t find my type. I searched through YouTube, google what not. Some templated had an option of adding pictures while some had not. Some used a specific theme color where as some did not allow the resume to be more than one page and some had an option of publications but I had none. In a nut shell, I spent almost 3 days making my resume.

After stumbling upon so many templates, the last thing that came to my mind was an online resume maker. Now the next task for me was to find a free online resume maker that could fit my desire. I tried everything from making resume on Android app to photoshopping its logo, I finally came across an amazing website, NoVo résumé. By this time, I had already made 20 resumes, non of them up to my expectations but I became Pro at entering all my data into the template. So finally on third day I was able to make a resume that I thought was perfect for me.

These three days were very tiring for me, searching, entering the same data again and again, rejecting the template, failing again and again made me very exhausted and my eyes watery because of spending 8–9 hours daily in front of the laptop but all is well that ends well.

I learned that no matter what “YOU ARE NOT SUPPOSE TO GIVE UP” and “TRY AND TRY UNTIL YOU SUCCEED.”

Now the next step is to make Linkedin account and create a network. I hope this blog was helpful and contained many tips for all my readers. See ya all in the next blog. Ta ta! :)
